May soon be biking from Arlington (Rosslyn), past the Theodore Roosevelt Island Parking, to points South along the Parkway. If I am reading these posts right, it sounds like there is a mulched trail detour from about the south end of the parking lot to about the beginning of the boardwalk (near where the trail splits to go up across the Roosevelt Bridge or South to Alexandria)—is that right and is that the extent of the significant mods to the bike path? Or are there multiple mulched detour segments? Or is the mulched detour longer or differently sited? Also, is the detour signed “Walk Bike?”
