ParticipantHey, only 8 of us showing on the Freezing Saddles team leaderboard:
Kurt M aka Vicegrip
Miriam J aka Mir(?) – I’m just making an educated guess here
Carlos G aka lossomes
kathleen k aka rockford10
David S
Chuck P (that’s me aka chuxtr)
Chris J aka cmj7gh
Jeanne S aka streetsmartsWhere are our other three riders??? We need their points, dammit!
Also, I can’t match up everyone’s forum names to their leaderboard name. So that would be helpful if folks could do that.

ParticipantI don’t do Instagram, but can I still play?

ParticipantI said I wasn’t going to do this daily, but since I can … here’s today’s standings as of 0730.

ParticipantMore ideas for a team name:
Team Bastille (since Bastille Day is July 14).
Team Montparnasse (since the 14th arondissement in Paris contains the Montparnasse neighborhood)
Team Stand on 2 to 6 (since that’s what you should do if you’re holding 14 and the dealer is showing a 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6 in blackjack)chuxtr

Hey guys my name is Carlos. Bummed I missed the opening happy hour, but looking forward to meeting up soon. I requested to join the strava group, my name on there is Carlos Goldie.
Carlos – I requested to follow you on Strava. Kurt runs our team on Strava and will approve that request. Welcome aboard!

ParticipantA few more team name ideas.
Team Air Coryell (Chargers QB during that era, Dan Fouts, wore #14)
Team Alley Oop (for the play invented by QB Y.A. Tittle who wore #14)
Team Charlie Hustle (Pete Rose wore #14)chuxtr

Hi Everyone – I’m Chris J. This will be my first year participating in BAFS, and I’m looking forward to it forcing me to bike outside through the winter. You can find me way down towards the bottom of the leaderboard right now, but I’m hoping to make up for that with some longer weekend rides. I’m disappointed that I didn’t make it to the happy hour, so I look forward to meeting y’all in real life soon!
Hey Chris! Someone I actually know (or at least have met and ridden with once before) is on my team (I’m a rookie too)!

ParticipantIdea for a weekend lunch ride. We could do a group ride or just agree to meet at Duffy’s Irish Pub, 2106 Vermont Avenue NW. http://www.dcduffys.com/ Great wings! One of the owner’s is a good friend and I know would welcome a group of cyclists (we’ve talked about it previously). There’s even a back room that’s big enough for us to be able to bring bikes inside (there’s also outdoor seating but it would have to be an unusually warm winter day to want to sit outside). This would require a little bit of planning (so I can let Tom know we’re coming and how many of us). Let me know what you think and let’s discuss when might be good to try to do this!

ParticipantNow that I can use the Ride Days data to put into a spreadsheet to calculate, I can actually update on a regular basis. I won’t do this daily (maybe weekly), but here’s the standings as of this morning 0800.

ParticipantWhat are everyone’s names on the leaderboard? That’s probably the easiest way to make a Strava connection because if you click on a name, their Strava page comes up.

ParticipantSome possible animal names for our team: Narwal, Beluga (as in whale), Puffin, Wolverine, Ermine, Lemming.
Penguins of Madagascar: Skipper, Kowalski, Rico and Private http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1911658/

ParticipantExtra bonus points for riding Full Monty.

ParticipantThanks to everyone who planned and organized the happy hour. Lots of fun to meet folks. Are we going to do another one? Would be fun if we could do one a month.
