ParticipantJust made the switch to all-grain over the summer. I do my mashing and wort making outside and plan on brewing a stout once things warm up a little and wouldn’t mind learning about coffee roasting.
If you’re eager to get going right now and like hard cider hit up amazon and get a carboy, an air lock, and some champagne yeast. Next hit Costco and get 5 gallons of Motts Organic Apple juice. You can ferment that stuff (without adding anything) and get ~4.5 – 5% ABV in a couple weeks. I know: the recipe sounds like you’re brewing hooch but once you back-sweeten it with apple juice concentrate it’ll stand up against Woodchuck any day of the week.
Cheers,

ParticipantJust throwing out a silver lining here: despite ceding a little OPSEC and physical security if you nab a KOM/QOM at one of those sites odds are you’ll keep the crown for a long time.

Participant Not a terribly flashy design. But as of this afternoon’s commute my favorite pair of socks have met the end of their service life and will be retired to the growing number of socks knotted together for my puppy to chew on.

That’s a “Playin’ hooky on Friday in early summer and riding down the C&O to do some bikepackin'” song if I ever heard one!

ParticipantHad this one stuck in my head [La Femme – Sphynx] as I rode through Crystal City yesterday morning.
Had to wait all day to ask my wife who it was since I only caught a few bars of it as it played in the kitchen when I first heard it. The best my mind could reproduce was an unintelligible version of what my brain considered french and it stuck with me for many, many miles.

I was hoping to scale up just a tad from the acorn (see above). While I may lose some trail etiquette points I feel the safety trade-off will make it worthwhile. Drivers can ignore my lights and hand signals but they can’t ignore 500 watts of Midlake shakin’ down Eisenhower.ChampionTier

I’ve also blasted Taylor Swift from my speaker on night rides when I’m all alone on the trail, but I’m guessing that’s less your thing
That paints a really cool picture! My wee lass had the 1989 album on heavy rotation a couple years back and I still get Shake it Off stuck in my head a whole bunch. TS has mad talent but there’s consensus in my household that the Reputation album doesn’t have the same appeal.
I’m with streetsmarts; I need to get a bluetooth speaker. I refuse to wear earbuds and so I’m at the mercy of whatever song bubbles to the surface of my mind while I’m riding…

ParticipantLagwagon’s Mr Coffee: I had my old Aiwa stereo set to play that song every morning when I woke up.

I’ve also found a lot of stuff that I like from Pandora and Spotify radio.
I credit Pandora with introducing me to Best Coast, Budos Band, and the Black Lips among several other bands (that don’t start with the letter

I still have it set up for my RI zip code, too, so I get to hear about all the great deals that Dunkin Donuts is having up there.Listened to NIL8’s Heatmeister, btw — pretty catchy stuff.

Rick Rolled on the forum! Well played, sir. It’s not enough that my daughter loves that song (meaning I get to hear it all the time), you have successfully lodged this tune into my head for the afternoon!

What kind of stuff are you in to?
All of it! Spare no genre.
Thanks for the recommendations, btw.

I like it. Plus, you don’t have to count how many o’s you put at the end of “Ochooooooooooo”.
Perhaps we could keep the donut theme going with the donut bike pic on our Strava team picture?
