ParticipantGot mine! They had two small, two medium, one large and three extra large when I left. They’re cut a bit on the small side but nice jerseys!

We were getting a number of compliments on them and questions as to if we were selling them. We ended up working out a partnership with Revolution Cycles to have them available for retail. They can be found at the Revolution Cycles store in Clarendon and the City Hub in Crystal City. The price is $75 plus tax. (We tried to keep them cheap. This covers our costs and a little bit of Revolution Cycles expenses as well.)
They are pretty made of nice material and are full zip!
Thanks. Might have to stop by there on the way home

ParticipantI’ve never had a shop turn down work or fitting because it wasn’t a bike they sold. Just my experience, others may vary.

We’re off to do this ride tomorrow, new trail for us.
As a followup, this is one trail that is on the “can definitely miss” list :p
It’s actually 32 miles instead of the advertised 36, as they count a 4mi spur that goes absolutely nowhere. But come to think of it the trail itself goes pretty much nowhere. It’s 32 miles – all downhill in one direction, and all uphill in the other. We saved the uphill for the return trip. No real facilities or even civilization short of a B&B at about the 20 mi marker. No place to get a bottle of water except for 2 places we found. At 5pm it was 94 degrees on the trail. Fortunately we were fairly well equipped, but we were wondering if 4 bottles of water between us were going to be enough – just barely as it worked out.Trail goes through a lot of turn of the century mining areas, and huge amounts of sulfur runoff even this many years later have the river beside the trail stained orange and a dead zone. Was kind of weird to hear no birds chirping and short of two groundhogs we saw no wildlife at all. Trail was in good shape, and given the country it went through I imagine is pretty at fall foliage time, but I’ll pass on going to see it then.
Trail ends at a really nice park – but that park is virtually in the middle of nowhere. Nearest real town 10 miles away. Plaques everywhere about it was made possible by John Murtha, who is PA’s pork barrel politician so it’s our tax dollars at work I guess.

Now you know that proper decorum says you have to post a pic, right?

FYI–even without Hurricane issues, it can take up to a month to get these replaced. Let me know when you’ve noticed they have changed them!
Will do. You might want to pass on that most of the lights that are dark also have their plates missing off the bottoms where the electrical junctions are – almost as if someones been tampering with them and the wiring is exposed.

I think that you nailed the description right on the head

I don’t, it was all in spirit of learning, now about coasting I wish the 3 riders behind me at one point would do the same instead of almost pushing me off the trail on narrow points.. a-holes.
Just keep in mind there’s always someone faster. It’s all good. Just enjoy getting there and realize there are idiots in cars and rude people on Metro too.

This is the stretch between Ohio and the underpass at 66 by Bon Air. There may be 6 or 8 actually working. These don’t. Had to dodge a irate homeless guy as I was stopping at poles and taking pics of the serial plates…

ParticipantNow all Alexandria needs to do is get the Washington Post to dump their properties.

question, what’s the 30mm spindle and the BB30, when/why would i feel that it needs upgrading?
BB30 is the type of bottom bracket the crank uses. It’s a 30mm spindle through bearings pressed in the frame. Compared to square taper or octalink which are other types of bottom brackets. BB30 is good stuff actually.
Unless you’re always going so fast that you’re all spin and maxed out there’s no need to replace it. Which as a new person at the riding thing sorry, ain’t happening

You can get equal or better braking power with $15 Shimano Dual-pivot knock-offs from China via eBay and have zero set-up issues.
Yeah, I did indeed let loose with a few choice words

Arlington County Parks & Rec. handles the maintenance of the grounds, but the street lights are actually maintained by Dominion Power. If you get the serial numbers of the light poles, or the exact locations, I can forward it along.
As summer comes to an end, this would be good to get a jump start on trying to get Dominion out to change some bulbs.
I’ll get ya some numbers. There’s a whole stretch there along the W&OD and onto the Custis that’s totally dark. I was thinking that the homeless folks were scavenging copper
