Some good points today. Apologies for being the lurker in the group. I’m Chris. I am a recidivist Arlingtonian: I grew up here, moved away after college, and have now returned many years later to a much changed (mostly for the better) place. I live off Nellie Custis, near the bottom (west side) of the Col de Lorcom.
My last stop was nine years in Switzerland, where I was more enthusiastic than talented as a cyclist. With all the mountains at our disposal, I always fancied myself more a Quintana than a Cavendish, but the only thing I can beat those guys in is being old.
I am thrilled to see how active the cycling scene is here, and in debt to Powerful Pete for sucking me into BAFS. In general, I’m good for the cold but stay off the ice. I’m also about to steal away for an extended ski weekend, so I’ll have some points to make up.
