LOVE IT! There was a house in my neighborhood that had a giant skeleton for Halloween, and then they put a Santa hat on it for Christmas. I was hoping they would continue with the themed holiday adornments, but alas, no luck. Where is this one located?
It’s in Fairfax on Laurel Street which is between Burke Station Road and Whitaker Road (Road next to Woodson HS) This was a small display for them. I almost missed it because I am used to there being a large assortment of skeletons decorated for the occasion.

Participant2/15/2021 St. Skeletor’s Day
This house always has skeletons decorating the front yard that changes with the calendar. It is always entertaining to ride past this house. This skeleton can be found in Fairfax near WT Woodson HS on Laurel Street.
I don’t think these skeletons know that it is St. Skeletor’s Day!! Looks like they have been hitting the bottle. ♥️

Participant2/14/2021 Heart 💖
I found a heart in the neighborhood I was riding through so I didn’t have to resort to my backup plan to stop by a florist in the shopping center I would pass on my way home.

I’m guessing they weren’t actually open 24 hours when you went to get this photo …
I do love what they’re doing in the community.
You are correct. All was dark when I arrived. They are currently 8A-8P. I couldn’t bring anything home to eat.

Participant2/12/2021 Ox or other Bovine likeness
I set out today for Point 50 in Fairfax to take a picture of some artwork on the wall of one of the buildings. I took a picture and as I was getting ready to mooooove on I noticed this bovine likeness in another one of the murals. I had to capture him for public art and today’s daily photo instead. (I guess I’ll have to go back for my dogs.)

Participant2/11/2021 Movie Poster
Movie theater at Fairfax Corner. I did see people going into the theater. I guess I’m out of the loop on what’s open and closed. (Not that I have any interest in being inside a theater during these times.)
If you are so inclined, you can actually see this movie tomorrow at 2:30 pm in exchange for $12.

2/11/21 – Movie Poster
This is the saddest scavenger day. Movie theaters are closed, posters are faded, if up at all, and it just makes me sad. My poster says coming in December. Which one?

Haha, I had the same question when I saw that movie poster. I’m glad I’m not the only one feeling slightly out of touch.

Participant2/10/2021 5 or 6 point Star ⭐
While I’m searching through the artwork on the walls of the Workhouse Arts Center in Lorton hoping to find a star (I was unsuccessful) my ride partner called me over to the map of the Workhouse saying that there is always a star letting you know where you are located on maps. While it made perfect sense, I would never have thought about looking for a map. 🗺️

Participant2/7/2021 Superb Owl
I couldn’t think about any nearby owls and with the bad weather I wasn’t willing to travel too far to search. Anyway, I found this lovely owl at my local Lowe’s. He looked nice and cozy in his perch in the store with the snow was falling outside.
