And I’m F-ING PISSED OFF that virtually all rental bikes are human-sized, and thus way too small for me to use.
Sorry. I had to say that.
I feel better now.
How big is Dirt-sized?

I’m like, oh, people be wavin’, yo. I am ready to wave, too.
This gets me too.

ParticipantOn the trail, I only wave at people I know, and consularrider gets a shoutout when I see him, although usually he sees me first.
On the road, I only wave if it’s a quiet country road.

ParticipantThere are lots of groups on Meetup. Check out the Northern Virginia Casual Biking Group.

I have started a policy of not reading comments that from under internet things as they tend to make my brain hurt and I end up breathing from my mouth, wanting to eat cheez curlz and drink bad beer from cans.
I have tried my hardest, but there’s a part of me that continues to venture down into the bowels of articles to read the flaming hate boiling up from the denizens of the inter-webs. I don’t know why.
Usually after reading the comments on CNN, I want to cry.

ParticipantThe Clarendon Cup has always seemed to me to be really well run, and the Challenge Ride has never been BAD, although they have had a snafu here and there (and a problem with hairpin turns).
The Crystal Cup, from what I’ve heard, is always a mess.
It doesn’t help that the streets down there look like they were in a war zone from all the potholes.

ParticipantI had a great time at this ride as well. I did my six laps, and actually cut almost 30 minutes off of last years time, and I wasn’t nearly as tired!
I contemplated going for a 7th lap, but I finished right at the end last year, and they ran out of medals. I was afraid that if I did a 7th lap, it might happen again.
At least that’s what I’m telling myself now.

Strange, did anyone crossing after 11am not get their final lap counted?
I think they might have had some troubles. I have a friend who did six laps, but her chip only registered one lap, and at twice the time it really took her.

ParticipantDo you know if this is an annual thing? My wife and I would LOVE to do this, but it’s just not in the cards this year due to other commitments.

Was this from the ride? http://vimeo.com/68001999
Freaking crazy- did the course really double back on itself without any dividing cones right after a tunnel?
This was from the pro race. The course went down Crystal Drive, left on 15th, u-turned after the bridge, and back.

It’d be awesome if you could help set me up!

I don’t have a problem with this as long as the freight elevator is easily accessible.
I think that’s a big part of the concern here. My female friend that works in the 1100 building doesn’t feel safe accessing the freight elevator there by herself, or using the bike storage area.

Things wouldn’t go so well if Monday enforced those rules at our offices at 1501 Wilson…
It’s one of the rules there, too: http://1501wilsonblvd.info/main.cfm?pg=coverview&pgnum=2&sid=pprocedures&pid=rregulations
