ParticipantDo we know what the trail conditions are on the MTV between Jeff Memorial and 4MR trial? I saw from earlier postings that 4MR is clear, FYI. Thank you.

New happy hour volunteer opportunities:
I’m going to bring some Arlington, Alexandria and DC bike maps to the happy hour in case anyone would like to have them. I might be able to get some Fairfax County ones as well. If anyone wants to bring bike maps for other jurisdictions, please do!
Could someone volunteer to take some photos? It would be nice if we could to get teammates present at the happy hour together for a quick snapshot.
Also, can anyone pick up some forum reflective tags from BikeArlington Headquarters?
Thanks in advance to any volunteers for these things!
I’d be happy to take some photos.

That’s because yesterday (Sunday) goes for last week’s numbers, and today (Monday) begins with a clean slate. There’s a tab where you can look at last week’s results.
Thanks, Vern, that explains it!

ParticipantSame thing happened to me. Yesterday I was #26 on the BA Strava leaderboard, and now I’m no where to be found:-(

ParticipantI would like to join this convoy if it comes together.

ParticipantMy Strava mileage for New Years day was 42 miles, but I had an additional 3 miles riding riding to the Metro, and then back, for a total of 45, for which my phone died and didn’t record.

ParticipantCount me in. Thank you for organizing the HH.

ParticipantMy 2014 goal was 3500 miles and Strava says that I’m at 3839 miles on the year, so all is good. But I’m going to push for 4500 miles in 2015 and to do more local, shorter rides, instead of using my car.

I plan to go to Hains Point around 11 a.m. or so to ride a few laps, practice peloton avoidance skilz and maybe cheer on some century riding friends. Will probably head out to Del Rey or Old Town afterwards. Anyone is welcome to join me.
I’ll plan to be there, and hopefully greet you for the new year at Hains Point.

You could always stay with us on the C&O and then we could split at Blockhouse.
Regrets, again, this time around, but I’d be interested in knowing of your future rides so that I can contribute to FS2015. Thank you.

Yes please join us. Meeting one non-forum person under the Chain Bridge at 8. We are both bringing CX bikes and planning to diverge up onto the trails at Blockhouse Point. As long as it is not muddy, we plan to ride the lower MoCo course backward-ish then come back on the C&O.
Thanks, Raymo853. I have a few others who may want to ride, too, but we are all roadies and not all comfy on mud & grit, so I think I’ll pass on this invite. But let me know of any pavement rides you plan in 2015. Happy new year.

A convoy will come together – no worries. Sometimes it gets organized just a few days before the event. People usually meet near the bikeshare station at the base of the DC side of the 14th Street Bridge (just south of the Jefferson Memorial).
I’d be interested to join a convoy riding from DC to Shirlington, FYI

ParticipantI plan to attend, and may bring 2 FS newbies who aren’t on this forum yet, FYI.
