if you really want to experience the joy of the Mulch Run, you could hop a barrier and go off road … otherwise the newly-paved section is mostly done, with construction on the shoulders.
Going off road is awesome. Anyone who want’s to hit Wakefield and Accotink after the trails get a little bit drier just let me know.

ParticipantWorks on Android. Don’t know what to tell you

It also works with Pebble Time brilliantly.

ParticipantGlad no one took offense.
All I wanted to say really was – how can volunteers play a role & I am willing to shovel.

ParticipantThat makes total sense. I was just thinking along the lines of “how can we help ourselves & demonstrate value?”
The question is – can we get legal somehow?

ParticipantWhat’s the deal with volunteering to clear? Would they let people clear a critical path with hand tools?
I ask just cuz one immediate solution might be some kind of volunteer agreement. I for one, would not be above showing up and shoveling rather than waiting for someone to plough. I say that as someone relatively new to this discussion.
Just curious if this was raised in any discussion.

There is a tunnel! I rode through it this morning. When I went through I met a goat legged fellow named Mr. Tamland, and he took me to his his cave, gave me tea. I watched a lion get resurrected, helped defeat the Ice Queen, ruled the land peacefully for 100 years until I was old a grey, then I went back through and it was the same time I entered and realized “Sh*t! I’m going to be late for Friday Coffee club”

Seriously though, one one side it’s a fenced in parking lot with no exit and on the other side is the train tracks. So if you wanted to ride on the CSX tracks, or flatten a penny, this would be the place to do it.
Or drink by the train tracks. Just sayin.

ParticipantSo there is no tunnel? Such a misleading thread title.

Apparently, some people think a “bike accessible facility” includes a facility that you can get to by carrying your bike down a grass slope for a couple hundred yards. It’s like saying it’s bike accessible because you could put your bike on your car and bring it with you to the meeting.
Not naming names.
I don’t understand what you’re saying here. Does this have something to do with the meeting with NPS?

ParticipantThanks for the update, I’ll be interested to read about what happens with the meeting with NPS.
