2/20/2022 Metrology; i too did research and learned that the standards of measurement were changed in 2019. Among the changes were making Kelvin the standard unit of measurement of temperature. Freezing is 273K and water boils at 373K. So, 38 degrees Fahrenheit is an unrecognized unit of measurement. So doing the conversion:
(38°F − 32) × 5/9 + 273.15 = 276.483K

Another fun fact is the kilogram is no longer based on a physical measure. Weight is based on Planck’s constant.

2/19/22 paleontology This igneous rock has a layer that appears to be quartz. If i could break the rock, i am guessing i would find something fossilized inside!

2/17/22 did you know there are more than 250 plate styles in VA? I saw at least two dozen today!

New states: Georgia, Wisconsin, Arkansas, Oklahoma. (29-32)

Also found a plate today for some
US law enforcement group? (Inique plate) Got a Florida variant i have never seen before.

Photos for A couple of cool VA variants…Appalachian Trail, antique, Blue Ridge Pkwy. I saw so many for the natural beauty of VA–Shenandoah, Natural Bridge, Skyline (no photos on these).

Yesterday I was lamenting the car with the Georgia plate that I couldn’t catch a picture of. Today I was laughing to myself when I saw a total of five Georgia plates and about a dozen Florida plates. I also seem to see a lot of New York, Pennsylvania, and Michigan
