Great seeing everyone today! I knew I was in the right place when I saw all those bikes outside.

Beerneuring #4: Beltway Brewing
Made it to Beltway Brewing. Got a flight consisting of HOV a blonde ale, Honey ale, and Haut Cross Bun a milk stout. Liked the HOV which was quite fragrant and the Haut Cross Bun which was a bit sweet. Also got a 15% rider discount which made it even sweeter!

Just a few blocks off the Trolley Trail on Route 1, there is a tiny place that serves nothing that you would find in any other Chinese Restaurant or take out place in the Metropolitan DC area. Seriously, if you haven’t been go! (Or let us know – Drevil and I can meet you there.
.)I usually get the “Liang Pi” noodles – it’s a cold noodle salad with carrots, cucumber, cilantro, peanuts, wheat gluten, and garlic – lots of garlic in a vinegar-based dressing. (So good they often run out.) They are known for their knife-cut noodles and “burgers” — but tonight, for a PP, I got the Northwest Chinese Noodle Soup, with knife-cut noodles, veggies, wood ear mushrooms, and lily blossoms in a sour-spicy broth. And they were yummy.

#taconeuring El Chilango on U St
The taco hunt reminded me to visit El Chilango. Would have liked to check out the taco truck but the physical one was on the way home. I met the owner a long time ago and I think he said he’s from Mexico City, hence the name El Chilango which is the slang for people from Mexico City. Forget they have quite a good selection of veggie tacos. Got the 3 veggies which were OK but the meat combo and lengua hit the spot.

Taconeuring: Highline
Lots of folks getting tacos yesterday! I got both the shrimp and fish tacos and the shrimp was very tasty with the pineapples.
