This picture is the crash site of Air Florida Flight 90 on Jan13, 1982 and probably looked very similar.
It hit the 14th street bridge (which you can see in the distance) and then through the ice of the Potomac.
I forgot to include my bike in the picture, but you can check my Strava (Ben Johnson) to see I was really there on my bike this morning

Driving one winter’s day, I spotted my mate chest-high in snow.
