Ok. How about I change “dumb” to “complicated”. Will I avoid a fight? I’m trying to behave this year!!

Got it, thanks. I was authorized and showing up earlier this week so it’s odd that I had to reauthorize. I authorized access to private rides this time, although none of my rides are private but that solved the problem.
I’m guessing it’s because we have joined private clubs. Last year I did not have the club set to private when we started. I just booted people who didn’t belong. Just one of the many wonders of trying to figure out all this dumb programming and code.

How would someone get onto the Friends of BAFS if they need to reauthorize?
That is a good question. But revoking the authorization and then doing it again worked. That’s why I don’t get involved in the tech part of this.

Alan, you’re on the list of “needs to reauthorize”, so you should try that.
Thanks! That did the trick.

ParticipantI’m certainly on a team, none of my settings are private, my team shows up on the leaderboards, I’m on the Friends of BAFS now, and I verified that Strava allows access to BAFS.
I’m also not overly concerned since I assume that this will get straightened out eventually.

ParticipantNot the most auspicious start. Dead last!!

ParticipantOops, and I forgot to add who is on our team:
David Helms (who is a strava friend of mine)
Tim Donovan
Robin Frei (who I met tonight) yea!
Donald Harvey
Andrew Karr
Lissa Bell
Karen McKenna
Andy GreenwoodAnd sorry to the big tall dude on our team. After a few beers, I couldn’t remember your name. I’m thinking you’ll be a good team mate!

ParticipantGreetings fellow teammates! It was nice to meet a few of you tonight, but as usual, not many people show up for the Happy hour. It must be tough to have a life. I don’t, that’s why I like to ride my bike.
This is my third year for FS, and last year I was a lame captain. That’s why I’ve let Dave become our official captain. I’m good for 160-170 pts per week. If we get a lot of snow or rain, I will most likely go somewhere else so that I can enjoy a nice ride on the bike.
Hopefully we can do some type of group ride, but since I’m out in the boonies of MD, it may be a bit hard for me.

Today I was added to two old Strava clubs (BAFS 2017. “Up to Eleven” and BAFS 2018 Team Sleet 16). Was this done by someone from Freezing Saddles? Can a strava user be added to a club without their consent? My allegiance for 2018 will always be to Team 8: Los Ochos Locos.
I don’t see you on Team Sleet 16. Although, that is the most amazing team this year!!
Obviously, this is not an official response. But I have never heard of that happening. Usually all they do is sell your email to Nigerian Princes. (p.s. that last part is a joke)

Riding your bike is not allowed inside the metro system Alan, but you do you.
I’m not sure what your reply means. But I was just posting a humorous take on what an overcrowded train would be like when you added in a bicycle commuter being very close to their bike.

SurlyTed and I would like to celebrate the recent news that DC Metro is now finally allowing bikes on trains during peak hours by sponsoring a new freezing saddles pointless prize competition.
This winter’s your chance to demonstrate that You are the KOM/QOM of METRO’S PEAK hours by going multi-modal and riding both your trusty rusty bikey and a smokey brokey subway on into work.
To score a point, ride your bike to or from a metro station and post a picture of your bike from that ride on the train during the newly opened peak hours (5 to 9:30 am and 3 to 7 pm weekdays). Put hashtag #bafsmetro in your ride to show up on the leaderboard, or post the pic and link to the ride here in this thread (hell, your impressions of the experience would be appreciated too).
The person who proves multi-modal the most times will be the Metro Peak Pioneer and win a prize to be stoked about!
Will you get bonus points if the train is so crowded and parts of your bike are up your rear end? That should make for some interesting pictures!!

ParticipantThe only fisticuffs for team 16 will be if David Pomeroy insist I be solo captain!!
I am more than happy to let him take charge, since I’m not a very good motivator.
I am looking forward to meeting some of my team at happy hour. Hopefully we’ll get more than just a few folks.AlanA
ParticipantI’m a man of wealth and taste. Welcome!
