ParticipantThanks hozn for the kind words.
As we indoor riders stated previously, we never wanted the VT miles to count in the regular FS calculations. Just a separate side bet so no one should worry about any changes to the rules.
Speaking only for myself, this whole thread and the anti-trainer vibe on the forum in general has effectively killed any enthusiasm I had for the contest. I was only looking to have some fun making jokes about chickens and sharing anecdotes about weird events that occur in the virtual world while waiting for spring to arrive. I didn’t anticipate having to continually defend my choices to others. I’m just gonna train in privacy from now on.
Ride on y’all.

This makes me very sad. I enjoy and encourage the camaraderie and just-in-fun “trash-talking” that is the forum especially during Freezing Saddles. Some of us like to participate on a team, some as slackers, and some are just here for the reindeer games. The great thing about this community is that there is plenty of room for all and the community has always been welcoming, accepting, and encouraging of all things bicycle (and more).
I enjoy seeing your Zwifting and don’t want you to feel for a minute that you’re being mocked, diminished or disrespected. I certainly respect and support everyone who wants to be a part of Freezing Saddles in any capacity. Plus, this competition screams for a Rubber Chicken Award.

I’ll second what Karen and hozn said. Trainer rides are tough, pretty sure I would be a better rider if I’d ever actually stuck to doing them instead of random 2 mile rolls around the block.
Besides, pretty sure Master Cannon is providing a DELUXE rubber chicken from the picture he posted. Can’t let that slide.

Come on now, I seem to recall your calling me a traitor several times for running, even though my bike miles were increasing at the same time. It’s just all-in-good-fun trash talk.

ParticipantIf anybody did collect the data on this, could you let me know who actually was the Zwiftest Rider?
I have a “handmade” medal to award the Zwiftest Rider if and only if they attend the closing Happy Hour.
If that doesn’t work out I can save it to give to someone next year I guess.March 21, 2017 at 5:52 pm #1068522Sunyata

Team 12 has a 2411.5 mile rider…with 522.7 outside. No offense to that rider, BTW: trainer rides are hard (not that I’ve ever done one, except at a bike fitting).

Thanks DKEL!
Tim V – if you RSVP to the final happy hour soon enough to give me the time to engrave/personalize the back of the medal, I will do that, otherwise I will keep it generic 😎

Disclaimer: I don’t know if he’s “the zwiftest rider,” I just noticed him in the stats for my team.
