How many cyclists do you see on your morning ride? (I thought your rode in early?) At 0300, I see maybe one a week and that won’t change until the temperature drops down below 30.

So far I haven’t seen any fewer cyclists out between 7 and 8 am, actually if feels like just the opposite on non-rainy days over the past couple of weeks.

The MBT, which is never really crowded, was busy this morning. Whole caravans of schools kids, lots of commuters, some Moms with babies. Felt a tiny bit like Montreal.

The Rock Creek Trail was busy today. This is spectacular weather for biking (though I have a much shorter ride than most of you, even if I go the scenic route like today).

Morning? Zero since the ninja that I used to see around Gallows every morning musta gotten splattered. Gawd knows I wanted to do it.

Afternoons have been pretty much a ghost town, maybe 2-3 most days vs too many to count.

My morning commute is a tiny bit lighter, but the evening is very crowded this week — joggers, cyclists who came home from work and hopped on their bikes for an evening spin, etc. A huge proportion of which didn’t have lights on their bikes at 7 p.m. last night.

I do expect that another 10-20 degrees and winter winds will give me the trail mostly to myself, though.

It was fun to see the kids riding their bikes on the trail yesterday a.m. for Walk or Bike to School Day.

Busier than normal on the MVT for this morning’s commute. MVT was also very busy with cyclists last night around 8:00 pm (some of which had very blinding lights).

I wish I could get out of work early to enjoy the fine weather.
