    Wait, the official ArlCo term for these items are bollards. Does that now make you pro-bollard?

    I do this to keep people off balance.

    But for clarification, what I vehemently oppose are bollards that are placed in the middle of the path of travel – like on trails at intersections (or randomly at bridges, etc.).

    The posts alongside the PBL, OTOH, (bollards, if you like) are intended to separate the path of travel of the people on bikes from the drivers. I am not opposed to them.
