You can help Bikes for the World at ECARE May 4

Bikes for the World will be collecting bicycles, bike parts, tubes, tires and accessories at Arlington’s ECARE environmental event on May 4.

You can donate bikes or parts, and you can help with taking in bikes and prepping them for shipment to one of 29 developing countries. That means removing pedals and strapping them to the frame, turning handlebars, dropping saddles to compact the bike.

Volunteers are needed from 11am to 3pm. Tools and sandwiches provided.

You could help change somebody’s life!

And you can bring your household hazardous waste, like burned out CFL’s, old paint, etc.
