The rain stayed mostly north of the Potomac, although I did get some light rain between Rosslyn and Gravelly Point, but from there on out the 4MRT/W&OD combination everything was dry. Also dry when I headed back out to the Rhodeside. After an hour I headed home, still dry, and ran into Arlingtonrider and handed her my copy of Chasing Legends. Enjoy!

Oh yeah, I like the fact that the temperature dropped almost 20 degrees! :D

I booked it from Metro Center around 5:20 and was bone dry, with the exception of some sweat, when I got home.

A hardy few of us (4, to be exact) ended up doing the Potomac Pedaler’s Downtown Breakaway ride yesterday evening. We left Mitchell park at 6PM, about 30 minutes after the storms rolled through NW. Our route took us up through the hills of NW to Great Falls/Potomac. By the time we hit Mass Ave (about 6:30 or so) everything was so dry, you wouldn’t have known that it had rained at all, much less flooded a couple of miles away.

Right after I reported the rain in Foggy Bottom it stopped. I got home to Arlington around 5:30pm completely dry, and I don’t think it rained again before I went to bed.
