OK – gonna try tuggin’ at the heartstrings.

Here’s the deal: My GF and I love riding bikes, like, a lot. My family has a ranch out in Big Sky Countryâ„¢. There’s about a brazillian miles of gravel out there.

My plan: Aquire 2 old-school cool cheapo hybrids. Throw on some drop bars with requisite flair, some cheapo microshift “burr-riff-ters,” and fit the fattest, baddest knobbly tahrs I can, and haul two junker “suck it $5k gravel adventure titanium/crabon fibre plush-moblie” bikes out in time for the 4th of July. And leave them out in the country as the penultimate perennial MT-gravel-destroyers. I might even wrap the bars with this stuff.

Please help my GF have a bitchin’ time crushing epic gravel under the biggest blue sky on the planet by scrounging in your shed. I know you have a purple/blue fade Trek Multitrack 720 sitting under the lawnmower bag. (minor, $20) Premium would be paid for an ironically-iconic metallic green/purple fade Multitrack, or GOLD Specialized Crossroads. Because we’re both children of the 90’s.

Bring on the Acera X!!!! DO WORK!!!!

I think you meant to say, “old’s cool”.

Rockford has a ’94(?) Mongoose hybrid in the garage. I think it hits all your targets, and she’s given me permission to mention it to you. I can post pics if you’re interested.

17″ frame, canti brakes, 700c wheels, no front shocks.

It’s in decent shape: not a lot of miles, but spent some time in the garage. It was reworked when Rockford and I got back into cycling a few years ago.

Thanks for taking the time to take some pics!

My only worry is the B/O FW RR wheel – Makes flat fixes a little harder out in the stix. How many monies? I’d have to throw a QR 7/8 Cass. RR wheel at this to make it work, i think.

I’ll pass this off to Rockford to talk dollars.

The sticker on the frame says 21″…maybe it’s too big.
