My impression is that a wormhole is an alternate route that is out of the ordinary, everyday routes everyone already takes. The best ones are ones that provide people with an alternative they otherwise would have never known about. Identifying every bike tunnel and pedestrian overpass doesn’t really meet the intent of this PP, IMHO.
Yes Steve, that is the idea of the wormhole. I agree with your points

ParticipantJust quoting the rules….
“What’s a wormhole? It’s kinda like you know it when you ridden through it.”And since @steveo didn’t ride through my particular wormhole, how would you know what is/isn’t on the other side anyway in Bristol UK ???
But if the sponsor wants to defer modifying the rules to @SteveO’s opinion, that’s his prerogative…

Rules had to be vague because wormholes are squirmy. Not modifying the rules as my original example was exactly what SO described.
Also there are tunnels by popular bike trails that no one ever takes and once they do their minds are blown about the timewarp possibility that the wormhole opened up. Remember the Cap Trail tunnel that leads to George Town?

There is a very small stream to cross and some mud.[I like SteveO’s clarification of the definition. Since this is out of the way, maybe it does not qualifies as a wormhole. But, I was surprised when finding it.]

And this one even has a great wormhole aesthetic, vanishing into the trees and then emerging out of them

While looking for the “Lemon Road Park” sign, I found this wormhole.
Entry is behind Lemon Road School. There are a lot of stairs to get up to Pimmit Drive.February 9, 2020 at 11:34 pm #1104395Steve O
ParticipantThis wormhole connects Ridge Road with Pentagon City via the River House apartments’s vast parking lots. This is an MTB wormhole, although it may be possible in the downhill direction with other bikes by those with skillz. (Ridden on an MTB in both directions on this ride)

ParticipantI found a (new to me) wormhole between a cul-de-sac on 5th St S and S Garfield St in my neighborhood tonight… I’ve lived here for 20 years and never noticed this one.
