W&OD Trai Paving near Route 28 in Loudoun Co 4/6/2011

They had an off-pavement detour this AM. They were paving the ramps leading to and from the bridge. It’s good news because there were some nasty pavement cracks on the east side of the bridge. No one likes to slow down for a bump at the base of a hill!

Ahh, that’s good. I’m riding out that way tonight after work. hate the detours, but love the fresh pavement

Now when are they going to do the Custis trail from the W&OD down to Rosslyn???!?

Looks like they paved parts of WOD in Herndon as well…

They should have gone another 30 yards on the east side of the Rt 28 overpass… they would have fixed 3 or 4 more bad cracks and connected up with another section of newish pavement. Now there’s a dumb stretch of bad old pavement between the good stuff for no particular reason.

Another job done to spec…
