At every yellow light I manage to clear before it turns, I raise my arms in my best TdF stage winner emulation. The joy I derive from this has much less to do with beating the light than with knowing that I’ve disappointed dozens of drivers who hoped to see me crash.
The master at this is Remi Gaillard (check out some of his other videos – he regularly gets arrested by the French police for some of the inane stuff he does)…
It would be fun to set up a finish line with lots of people cheering and maybe even a podium at the top of the Rosslyn Hill…
Occasionally a driver will cheer me up the hill to my house. Either encouragement if they pass me on the way up or congratulations if they catch me at the top. I’ve never found a podium at the top, though…
