    I went through there at about 9:30 this morning and they had opened up the southern lane for users. The tree clearers looked a lot like contractors.

    While the actual workers may be contractors, there were several uniformed NPS workers and one of the three trucks parked blocking the trail was an offical NPS truck. Also can’t figure out what all the uniformed NPS workers were doing hanging out at the Navy and Marine Memorial on the north side of the Humpback Bridge. Four trucks there. Ongoing work related to the landscaping in the area?
