Who’s on the wait list?

I’ve already had one person ask to drop out, so here’s who’s still on the wait list (as of the last registration list I was able to look at). This may change between now and the happy hour if anyone else asks to drop out. And some people will end up dropping out (or getting dropped off a team because they don’t respond to their team captain), which is why we keep a wait list even if there might be enough people on the wait list to form another team. Even if you’re on the wait list, please come to the happy hour and meet everyone. Plus you can always try to bribe me with beer. That and ride because if you end up on a team, you want those miles to count. After a reasonable period of time (something like a couple of weeks), if all the teams have settled in and there are enough people on the wait list to form another team, y’all will be Team Island of Misfit Toys. And no, you don’t get to change your team name.

People are taken off the wait list and put on a team on a first come-first serve basis, i.e., the order in which you registered.

With the HH fast approaching, here’s the updated wait list. 15 people. Hopefully, that means I’ll be able to form an “Island of Misfit Toys” team after a reasonable period of time after the HH for the team captains to get all their riders signed up on their Strava teams. We’ve already had a couple of people have to drop out so some of the people on the wait list previously are now on a team.

This is the current wait list. 12 people. I have a handful of teams that don’t have all their riders on the leaderboard, so expect that more than a few people on the wait list will get assigned to a team in the very near future. And if I have at least 8 people on the wait list after that, will try to form an “Island of Misfit Toys” team with the remainder.

So if you’re on the wait list, hang in there!

Dumb question that i’m pretty sure i should know the answer to, but is it safe to assume that if we were on the wait list and are not now, we are on a team? how do we know which team we are assigned to?

I poked around a bunch of the threads but I think I’m missing it. Thanks for any advice!
