As world population grows, it is inevitable that there will be a tumbler/blogger/something dedicated to EVERYTHING.
Here’s a YouTube channel almost exclusively devoted to videos of building elevators and escalators:

I’m not sure of the purpose besides cataloging elevator/escalator rides.

Hmmm….looks like the “I Biked in Arlington” sticker I got on B2WD that’s branded with BikeArlington.com, but that’s blue.
Very similar: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=360934047308451&set=a.210531322348725.47326.205971902804667&type=1&theater

ParticipantIn summary… so initially the idea was maybe people would be interested in purchasing a WABA jersey/kit. And now we’re at buttons. Is that right?
I like the jersey idea because I’m currently trying to upgrade/phase out the first set of poor quality jerseys I got from Nashbar a few years ago… I feel like a total dork when I wear them. So something local and good quality would be pretty cool. I would be very unlikely to wear it on my commute though.
On the other hand. Buttons with a cool slogan like Bike Arlington, WABA or Love Your Commute are cool because that’s something EVERYone can get and be a part of.
Tim, after you initial question 100+ posts ago what do you now have in mind?

So it sounds like there are two schools of thought on the jerseys.
On one side there are the people who would definitely like to see a a nice high end kit. The flip side is that there are people who don’t care about a performance garment and don’t want to spend the money for it. The other downside with a jersey is that you wouldn’t wear it every day, so it wouldn’t be all that useful in making yourself visible to other WABF members on a regular basis.
That being said, if someone has the inclination to handle a jersey order, I think there is enough interest from the forum to make it feasible. So, anyone want to step up and volunteer some time, keeping in mind the comments that txgoonie made a few pages back?
As for some other form of identification, I think we have interest in something small like a button, luggage tag, frame sticker (or maybe all three!). BikeArlington can swing something in our budget since it is a relatively small run. If this sounds good, we just have to figure out what exactly we want, and what we want it to say.July 31, 2012 at 1:53 pm #947359GuyContinental
