As of this moment, this is who is on the wait list. If you’re on the wait list, it means you’re in the queue to be a replacement player for those who no-show after the HH. After a reasonable grace period after the HH for players to sign up on their Strava teams and back-filling for those who don’t, I’ll see if there are enough people left in the queue to create another team. I can’t promise that I’ll be able to do that, but I’m hopeful. So that means if you’re on the wait list you should still ride, ride, ride! B
I suspect that some of the people on the waitlist would be okay being on an understrength team, just to get on the leaderboard. And for the added challenge, doncha know. Just sayin’.

ParticipantThat’s exactly what will happen if we have enough people left to form a team after any substitutes for no-shows.

ParticipantWhat I meant is that two or three people could be “enough” for a team (I may be a little biased in this discussion, because as of this AM I am higher on the leaderboard than I have ever been in freezing saddles
)

I’d be willing to do that, i.e., create a team with less than 10 people, as long as everyone involved knows their team is “handicapped.” Personally, I think it’s a good idea because it lets everyone who wants to play, play. Let’s see what happens with drop-outs/no-shows after the HH. But assuming such a team is created, you’ll be the captain. And it could be a team of just one!

As the last of the late registrants, I’d gladly join @LordofTheMark and make a belated team of 2;-)

I doubt you’ll be the last of the late registrants. There seems to be no actual limit on how late people will attempt to register.

But there will be a limit on my willingness to accommodate them.

Understood. But your willingness will likely go up if everyone gets assigned to teams, and then we have an injury. Which is why we don’t actually take down the registration form until Freezing Saddles is over. We just warn people we won’t necessarily accommodate them.
