Steve: Steve, AKA: The guy who could end up with a Green Surly Disc Trucker or other touring/cx bike if I sell my Cervelo S1. But usually on a Yellow Cannondale with red bar tape and tires.

dbb: Dana. The bearded guy with a silver Specialized Hybrid or a black Cannondale CAAD 10, typically with a yellow backpack with a silver reflective band on it. Hates traffic cones – there I said it

    From the movie Brazil

Sam Lowry: My name’s Lowry. Sam Lowry. I’ve been told to report to Mr. Warrenn.
Porter – Information Retrieval: Thirtieth floor, sir. You’re expected.
Sam Lowry: Um… don’t you want to search me?
Porter – Information Retrieval: No sir.
Sam Lowry: Do you want to see my ID?
Porter – Information Retrieval: No need, sir.
Sam Lowry: But I could be anybody.
Porter – Information Retrieval: No you couldn’t sir. This is Information Retrieval.

My name is Bob (but I spell it backwards). My last name is Cannon (but I am not Rachael). “100” refers to a nickname during freshman year in College; There were too many Bob’s in the dorm so I was Bob100.

    This is my dog

I grew up here. My first bike accident was on River Road when someone found me in a ditch. After college I took my valuable degree and became a bike courier. My favorite bike trip was up the C&O with my teenager. My favorite place to bike is where Blackbeard used to live.

I’m Marc: Most likely to be seen riding the Custis (and occasionally 4MRT/W&OD if it’s not windy) during commuting hours on a cream Bianchi Volpe with black fenders and rack, with black panniers. On weekends or nice weekdays, you might see me on a silver Cervelo R3 trying to be ELITE.

As it warms up, my wife Meg will be with me more often. She rides a blue Fuji hybrid, sometimes carrying a yellow panier with a zeropergallon patch.

I’m Dave, @darsal on Twitter, and usually DSalovesh or DaveS on the various discussions & comment piles & forums. I do most trips on a matte black Cannondale Bad Boy Ultra with a disc brakes and a rack, but you may also spot me on other bikes from time to time. I don’t regularly get far from my daily commute, between Capitol Hill & Penn Quarter.

Sweet. Back to being the only Shawn again. I’m the one on the big purple bike. When Dirt and I meet up on the trails, we make a magnificent sunset.

Jeff from Greenbelt (duh). Almost always in flouro and running lights. Big fan of the Anacostia Tributary trails, the USDA Research Farms/Patuxent Wildlife Refuge, and the ride to Baltimore.

2011 Jamis Bosanova (steel disk brake tourer set up for commuting); 2009 Jamis Super Nova (scandium CXer re-equipped with road wheels); 2012 Kona Tanuki Supreme (borrowed for now, but I’ve got my eye on a demo King Kahuna …)

I’m Chris. I live out in the hinterlands (Reston), got my start commuting to the land of concrete and shopping malls (Tysons Corner) but now commute to the land of giant houses and luxury sedans (Great Falls). I like fire and hate priuses. My spirit animal is godzilla. I generally ride my Ibis Silk SL road bike or my Mojo HD off road, but have several other bikes that get ridden on an occasional basis.

I’m Bob. I’m an Arlington resident who was raised on the W&OD and Four Mile Run and can be found anywhere usually marked in green by Google Maps as bikeable (sometimes by me, as I’m an avid user of Google MapMaker). I’m either on my candy red Fuji Newest 3.0 road bike for long treks (lycra stuff) or my silver GT Zum City commuter bike for commuting, errands, and leisurely rides (work/street clothes with white backpack). I tend to have a serious look when riding, even though I’m usually enjoying myself (no comment on whatever expressions I have when I’m tired and climbing). I keep a BikeArlington reflective band around my seatpost (I prefer to roll up my pant leg), and I’m easy to spot at night as in addition to my regular lights (2 front, 2 rear), I have spoke lights on both bikes. I like to bike at night (especially in the summer), so if you see someone with purple (my favorite color) and green/blue spoke lights, that’s me.

    Good idea, Dickie.

I’m Rick. I’m the guy with the photos of my older daughter still taped to my helmet from the Best Buddies ride two years ago. I am the (Bluemont) Junction Keeper – you must answer three questions or you shall not pass. I am that guy who keeps disagreeing with everything you say on this forum.

I’m Mark. My bike is a black Nashbar Tourer, but on nicer occasions I am known to ride a Mizutani Super Seraphe from the ’70s. I will be wearing khaki pants (of assorted colors) at all times, although perhaps khaki shorts in summer. I am normally seen in the Custis/Fairfax/Wilson/Clarendon corridor, but during BAFS, I can be found on the W&OD or at White’s Ferry.
