This bike is from the early 1990s. A good friend sent it to me. The frame arrived last night. I had NOTHING to do with naming the bike. My friend knows me well…. knows how I can’t resist a pink bike… especially one as lovely as this.I did a bit of research on it. I found that it sold on eBay in both 2003 and a few weeks ago. It was also listed and sold on Craig’s list in Seattle in 2007. I am still trying to find more history on it.
Thanks for enduring my silly sense of humor.
Hugs and kisses,
pete

ParticipantAnd here I thought this was going to be a picture of the dead rat in the middle of the Mt Vernon Trail this morning at Hains Point. It had clearly had a run in with a cyclist.

I am so sorry to have disappointed you. I will strive to be more sensational in the future.
Have a great ride this afternoon. It is lovely out there.

ParticipantI want to know how you took the picture. I am imagining a tripod and 10 second timer and furious repeated attempts of diving under the covers in time.
P.S. A few of the linked pictures don’t seem to be working for me here in the thread, although they show up fine on your Flickr site.

ParticipantInteresting about the Flickr photos. They’re all shared. Perhaps it is user error.
The photo in bed was taken using a tripod and a timer as you suggested.
My other new ride.July 27, 2011 at 4:52 am #928633KLizotte
ParticipantArgh! We want to see the other photos!!
I strongly suspect some members of Congress would not approve of this relationship

Work just fine now.
I’m digging that pink. I’d have no qualms riding that.

ParticipantThanks. It is definitely a more classy bike than I’ve had in a while. The handling is amazing…. very good balance between quick handling and stability. I will build a matching front wheel in a few weeks.
I love the drop-in bars. I’d forgotten how great they are on a fixie.

ParticipantIs that pink or salmon?
I guess it’s pink if you think it’s pink…

ParticipantIt is pink. When you see it in person, it is bubblegum pink. Pretty good match with the rims. Not quite as good with the bar tape.

It’s a pink bike designed for salmoning is my guess.
