Best place I found if you just want to put your head down and hammer…(and this is a bit of a drive): Dewey Beach to Bethany Beach in Delaware is a nice fairly straight road, nice wide shoulders, only one hill to climb (Indian River Outlet bridge). 21 miles round trip from light to light.

Pretty much most of the eastern shore is light-less, and Delaware has some reallllly nice wide shoulders.

This is a nice ride. I rode from milton de to Indian head bridge and back. It was a great 45 miles. I was looking for lights so i could have an excuse to stop lol

Nice ride. My version is 30 miles from Rehoboth West, near where the Breakwater Trail to Lewes starts. Just be aware the wind can be punishing. I got my only case of hypothermia on that ride one January.

The best time to do the Dewey ride is peak summer when, coming back into town, you can pass literally miles of cars stuck on their way to the beach.

Was thinking of doing a Dog’s Head Loop before Christmas. Start at the pub on Rehoboth Ave, then ride to the Brewery for a tasting, and then back for lunch.

I will be down there for Christmas but I would be going the opposite direction as my parents live 3 miles from the brewery let me know if you want to ride
