I have, you know, secondary considerations (a budget, two kids, dogs, a tuba) that may or may not inform the discussion.
There are a lot of reasonably priced houses as you go south on Gallows road, although the development around Dunn Lorring station probably has increased prices since the last time I looked. There are also a lot of apartments/condos further south in Mosaic (the area at Gallows/Lee Hwy) and around the metro station. All a very easy ride to Tysons, with equally easy access to the W&OD and the Orange Line.
