Tim, Can you change my username from “essigmw” to “Mikey”
I think to be fair, if Tim does change your screen name, you must post an “I’m new to the forum” thread to re-introduce yourself.

ParticipantI keep trying to think of a snappier title than “Venerated Senior Member” but I haven’t come up with anything yet…

Hell, I’m pretty happy at being venerated at anything. The only other chance I had at a title like that was denied me when I wasn’t born into the family of the president of North Korea.

Yes, I come from a long line of very bad wine makers.

Yep, different Steve. But by the sound of it, he seems like a pretty cool guy.

ParticipantThat reminds me, Tim, can I resign my arbitrator-ness and become something Kidical related. Since that would be brilliant marketing…

A discussion occured this morning at FCC II. As I was introducing myself to some new faces I realize that my screen name is unpronounceable.

ParticipantOnly because you two are nice…
June 17, 2013 at 12:46 pm #973071jabberwocky
ParticipantI’ve gone by jabberwocky on so many local bike forums for so long that more people know me by that name IRL than my actual name. Its not unusual for me to be introduced at rides or events as jabberwocky rather than Chris.

ParticipantI love the confused look on the faces of people who don’t know me on the forums when a stranger walks up to me and asks if I’m Dirt and I smile and reply in the affirmative.

ParticipantGreetings, Mikey here. Thanks Tim!
Now when I say Hi people can call back Hey Mikey, instead of hey E-S-S-I-G-M-W. . . That’s a little bit of a mouthful there.

I always used to say it like “Essig Mwah” … like adding an air-kiss to your name. I may continue to do that if you find it suitably annoying. I mean that in the nicest way.
Mwah!
