ParticipantEdit: That’s just my bike’s name based on the banking scheme in the graphic. I’ve been struggling to find a meaningful name for my bike since I built it up last year. I think I’ve finally settled on one, but the decision is tentative: The Spinning Mule

ParticipantBut if you have a fleet of bikes, they end up being “Baby Agile Warlock”, “Sir Agile Warlock” and “Captain Agile Warlock”. (PS where’s silver?)

Hadn’t thought of that shortcoming of this naming game any of the times I’ve seen it… obvious I only have one bike, I guess.
While I’m at it, cyclingfool, jr’s Strider is Commander Wicked Kitten-Wagon, and my wife’s bike is Colonel Whiz Kitten.

ParticipantUm, I never really thought of hanging a name on mine… unless I take it racing and invoke the Starduster Racing persona (“the PROTECT/Starduster Trek”). My wife’s bike does have one- Pink Lady. Reason should be obvious…

ParticipantSince I’m lacking in imagination, I tried to explain to my granddaughter Becca that the two bikes were “Bubbe’s bike” (Bubbe=Yiddish for grandmother) and “Samma’s bike” (my wife thinks she’s too young to be a grandma, but her name is Sam, so the compromise was that she’s Samma). But Becca, having spent the day enjoying being pulled around in my trailer, announced firmly that mine was “Becca’s bike.” As my son so tactfully explained, when you ride around in a horse-drawn carriage, no one assumes that the carriage belongs to the horse.

ParticipantTJ Uno (Single Speed Mountain Bike)
Synsi (Road Bike)
Nyx (Hard Tail Mountain Bike)
Skaði (Full Suspension Mountain Bike)
Jupiter (Commuter)Otherwise they would all (with the exception of the road bike) be called Sir Trusty Warlock… The road bike would be Professor Trusty Warlock. 😎

ParticipantUnder the preferred naming convention, they’re all Doctor Screeching Ninja, but I prefer to call them:
- The Embarassment of Riches — the commuter
- The LeMond — the all ’rounder
- Biek — the stationary bike

Bianchi road bike – Priscilla (pretty but probably still a dude)
Cannondale Caadx – Ollie (only happy when it’s cold and raining)
