ParticipantOdds and ends like extra lights. The real awesomeness were gifts for my kids: a playmobil bike set, including a bike trailer and a CARGO BIKE! And discovering Annie’s brand “Mac and Trees” that has bike pasta!
Oh, and a Fly6 (in hand), Fly12 (on the way), and fenders and a rack to turn husband’s new CX bike into my new winter commuter. YAY!

ParticipantSo here is the really awesome gift that I -err, I mean my 5 yo daughter – got for Christmas. Playmobil joins team #kidical. Note the cargo bike, balance bike and bike trailer.

And of course the injured figure is the cyclist.

Classic hit and run. At least the cyclist is braving a smile, under these circumstances.

Man, I was going to to excitedly share that I got “lobster claw” riding mittens, and $50 to go toward a set of road wheels, but I think you have us all beat. Congratulations!

I had my first week commuting on the CrossRip. I’m happy with the bike (not so much with my experience at Revolution Cycles though). It’s a lot smoother than my entry level road bike and only a little bit slower despite the extra weight of the rack and panniers. I like the suicide brakes although they eat up a lot of the handlebar space for my accessories.

I went from a 7-speed entry-level hybrid to the Crossrip, and while not as fast as the road bikes with my rack, kick-stand, and fenders, it didn’t stop me from getting in some serious miles last year. I can only have one bike right now, so IO needed something that could do a century on Saturday, and grocery shopping on Sunday.
Admittedly, it seems I only use the suicide breaks when I’m waiting for lights to change on a hill, we’ll see what winter brings though.

cross levers != suicide levers. unless you retrofitted the bike with 1970s era tech.
