Participantcvcalhoun, next year could you (assuming you continue to volunteer for this position) emphasize in the registration form that new people to the forum don’t need to create a new thread for their first post? Maybe we should have an intro for noobs thread where people are introducing themselves (as I’ve seen in the past), so we don’t have a bunch of pointless threads (acknowledging that FS involves a lot of pointless stuff).
EDIT: It’s been done!

Link to the newbies thread has been added to the registration form. You might also want to speak to Henry about getting it added to the sticky.

ParticipantLast year I registered during that “5 minutes” of a test registration form, and had to do it all over again. This year, I was away for the early stages of registration, so I didn’t have that problem. However, after I did everything, I got a message at the bottom that said to fix my errors (which I could not find). I started over and tried again using the exact same information, and it worked. I did get the two emails, so I think all is good.
Maybe this is a sign that I should take a hike!! (instead of riding a bike).December 12, 2019 at 1:16 am #1101728cvcalhoun

ParticipantIs there a place to confirm that you are properly registered before registration closes?

Two answers to this:
1. If you got the two e-mails (one confirming registration, and one asking you to click on a link to confirm your e-mail address), and clicked on the latter, you are registered.
2. I just checked, and you are in fact registered. -
