We’re up to 200!

Normally, registration stays open through December 24. However, the maximum number of participants is 250 and we already have 200 registered. I strongly suspect we’re going to reach 250 before December 24. Once we do, any new registrants won’t be guaranteed a place on a team, and will get one only if someone fails to join the team to which they are assigned or gets injured during the competition. So if you’ve been procrastinating, now is the time to go register.

I just looked at the Strava 2025 Freezing Saddles page – it says 275 people. Can that be correct?

@Kbikeva, no it’s not.  We always have some random people show up on Strava who just like to join Strava clubs, but who have no interest in Freezing Saddles.  They don’t do any harm because a) they won’t be assigned to a team if they haven’t registered, and b) they won’t even be listed as “Friends” if they haven’t authorized Freezing Saddles to read their Strava miles.  The actual number of registrants can be seen at https://freezingsaddles.info.
