So psyched to finally have a team! But of course this happens on my one busy family weekend so for now I’m really just setting up this thread for people to sign up & introduce yourselves.

And good luck riding daily in this weather. That’s the game – to ride daily, ideally at least 10 miles. The way to the points are structured you really can’t make up a lost day on the bike, which can be really challenging. Otoh this is a game –  it’s supposed to be be fun.

For now I’ll introduce myself,and do the other captain stuff in the next few days. My father-in-law came today & my kids are coming tomorrow to have a family baby shower at my house. My daughter-in-law is due the day after freezing Saddles ends (😆 I thanked them for their considerate timing and offered to go stay them for a coupla weeks to help.)

This is my 9th year playing FS and I’ve captained half of them I think. I love the game usually but this year is sure starting out as a slog. I like it without the intense wind and with clear trails…. and 😆 warmer, if I’m honest.

I play this game out of defiance. I grew up in Puerto Rico. This game taught me how to ride in the winter – complete with a huge support network and games and group rides! It’s happy like a party. It’s the only thing I like about winter. A lot of my friends from my  first years playing FS have stopped playing but say they learned, playing this game,how to ride in winter. How cool is that? And also, 🤔 am a slow learner or what? 😆

So welcome you all to team 3. Please share something…. Like maybe why you decided to play or what kinda 🚴‍♀️🚴🏼🥳🚴🏼‍♂️ nut you are 🤪😵‍💫🫨🥳

Ill set up the Strava club tomorrow , & we will all need to join it. I’ll post a link on this thread to how to do that. Also I should be getting a list of your email addresses, so street I get that I’ll send you all an email cuz Idk how many people are gonna be happy with communicating here

Hi Nadine! I think this is my fourth year participating in freezing saddles. Hopefully this year I can participate in more group rides. I am back in school so depending on the weekend, I may have assignments to finish up.

As far as what kinda bike nut I am, that is hard to define. I am a sucker for brewery rides and bike camping mostly with a party pace vibe, but with a little zip here and there.

Hi, All-

[EDIT: Now I’m not certain I’ve been assigned to Team 3. If I’m wrong, accept my apologies!]

Just received an email that I’ve been promoted from the bench to Team 3. This is my first year participating and am eager to meet folks! I was sidelined for a couple weeks due to minor surgery, but have been cleared and biking or the past week without issue. Eagerly awaiting the invite to join the Strava team!

Hmm 🤔 I’d love to welcome  you to our team, but I have 12 players already so I’m pretty sure that would be cheating.

Looks like team 2 is the team short a player. I bet that’s where you’re supposed to go.
