FYI: I looked at the predicted temperature tomorrow and got cold feet, or was afraid of getting cold feet, so I am going to start a bit later to let things get close to freezing:
New start time: Leave Takoma Metro at 11:00
    Leave French School at 11:20ish

I think the roads will dry out by Sunday, and maybe even get above freezing, and I by god need to get out of the house, so I am going to ride out to Brookeville Beer Farm for a beer and lunch with this route: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/34904025. It is about 63 miles from Takoma Park, less from the French School.

I’ll leave the Takoma Metro at 11:00, and the French School on Beach Dr. at Woodbine at 11:20ish.

    Hope to have some company.

FYI, The roads in that part of MoCo are not the best. And, given that’s it’s going to be below freezing until around noon, I would suggest you be very careful. I drove past the beer farm, and all the tables and most of the area are still ice/snow covered. The parking lot is ok, though. If you plan on going down 97 to Gregg to get back. be careful.

Thanks Alan, I was out there today as well (in a car, sadly) and the roads generally are good, including Gregg, Zion, and 97. We will certainly be watchful, especially in the shaded areas and low points. My ride through Rock Creek Park this evening revealed a few icy spots that required delicate riding and in two cases walking and I expect it will be like that tomorrow.

Hope you get out tomorrow. Despite the cold and snow, the sun made for a pretty nice day! Be safe.
