    Looks like the lightest charge to be applied would be assault with intent to cause bodily harm. Several other charges as well, of course (Hit and run, failure to yield right of way, etc).

    If ever there were a case were the intent to cause bodily harm to another individual was cut and dry this would might be it. Not only does the guy slow down to verbally taunt the cyclist but then makes the conscious decision to use his vehicle as a weapon.

    I just makes your blood boil when you see that the US Attorney’s office is not prosecuting any criminal charges.

    That is really sad but not at all surprising.

    Seems like dealing with the police can be a waste of time (not really surprising to any of us really). Guess I would have to think about contacting the authorities if I were in a similar situation. Seems from a few other threads here more headaches are created than resolved. It just sucks that people get away with treating others like that.
