ParticipantThe new plans are done and the County will be presenting them to the Penrose Neighborhood Association this Tuesday, March 15th at 7:30pm at Trinity Episcopal Church (corner of Columbia Pike & South Wayne Street, enter on South Wayne under the “School of Early Learning” entrance).
This is THIRD design for this trail. Tree impact has been cut in half. It’s time to move forward and build the damn thing. If you live in the area, especially if you live in Penrose [east of Walter Reed, South of 50, west of Washington Blvd, north of Columbia Pike) PLEASE come to the meeting and express your support.

Chris: We plan on being there. The big question will be… Can this pass the Bernie Berne test?

ParticipantThe County has finally reached “final VDOT-approved construction drawings” for the Washington Blvd Trail. They will be presenting them at the Penrose Neighborhood Association Meeting on November 15th (and potentially at other places, but this is the one I know about at this point) prior to going to the County Board for construction contract approval.
