I don’t know why people are upset…this guy totally has it right. When I “run a red light,” I come to a stop, look around carefully, then proceed with extreme caution, all while holding up a middle finger and screaming “suck on that motor vehicles!”

    Total. Adrenaline. Rush.

My urban cycling had a green patina, until I cleaned it thoroughly.

Looks like we need to bring this back. I’m actually curious enough to do this for the article. I’ll check back in with my results.

Between yelling at the TV (watching the US World Cup match against China) due to both the soccer events on screen and the in/out reception that my TV antenna was giving me (it cut out RIGHT BEFORE we scored ) , I had some fun and went through the comments on the WaPo article to play some bingo. The results? BINGO!

I’m waiting for this companion article:

This is what makes drivers speed down the road
How motorists justify their dangerous behavior.

There are times when, as a motorist, I speed down the road. I’ve got momentum, I don’t feel like slowing, I’m running late.

I’m not alone. In America, about 865,000,000 drivers commuted to work each day. More than 99% of them sped on their way there…….

I believe Tom Vanderbilt literally wrote the book on that. It’s called Traffic. Excellent read:

+1 on Tom Vanderbilt’s Traffic, a really smart book that gets into a good amount of detail while remaining an enjoyable read.

Sorry, but the hippies are all busy telling us we don’t need same-sex marriage. Of course, they are also telling us we don’t need opposite sex marriage. But Scalia only listens to them some of the time.
