Visiting DC area – need recommendations

Sorry if not 100% biking related, but needed recommendations for meet-up places for people next weekend in town to run Marine Corps Marathon. When I ride with my bike club in Houston, we know the best places to catch a late afternoon beer for large groups so I thought I’d turn to you guys for a similar recommendation. There will be about 20 of us and we are spread out from Crystal City to Rosslyn to a few in DC but all along Metro. We are looking for a casual sports bar/ hangout type place close to metro stop to meet up later Sunday to relax (after running a marathon we arent planning on sight-seeing) and watch last of NFL games. Any recommendations will be appreciated.

Btw – looking at your bike system made me a little envious. We are getting there in Houston but playing catch-up.

Welcome to DC and enjoy the run. For Crystal City – there are a number of bars (Crystal City Sports Pub, Buffalo WW, etc) – but they may all be swamped due to folks in town for the run. So you may want to venture a bit away from the concentration of hotels that are close to the start line. Maybe some of the bars on the Orange Line: Court House – Ireland’s Four Courts, Summers; Clarendon – American Tap Room, Hard Times Cafe – or you can venture into DC.
