USA Pro Cycling Challenge, Aug. 20-26

I’ll be there!

Right now I plan on watching stages 6 and 7 live and may end up at the finish of Stage 5 if the timing works out.

The fireworks for those watching will be at the finish of Stage 5 on the Flagstaff climb and mountaintop finish out of downtown Boulder – this is the climb that almost all your favorite US cyclists train on regularly. I’ll be out on that climb somewhere, likely three sheets to the wind by the time the pack gets there. It’s going to be an incredible day.

Cool! Post some pictures. Better yet, post some video clips of the action. You should be able to get some good shots on the slower mountain climbs when the cyclists aren’t moving that fast.

Thanks Potomac for the info, set up the DVR for the week…. just starting to get withdrawal symptoms from the Olympics, especially as we cannot get the Vuelta on FIOS!

I’ll probably wear my US Champion Garmin jersey up on Flagstaff so keep an eye out! That goes for you folks at home too. If I have enough adult beverages it’s possible I’ll haul a University of Florida banner out up there and wave it at the moto cameras.

That depends if I was in the pack in Colorado today. Or if I was Top 5 in the TdF a few years back.
