You should come to Monday Morning Pancake Club! (Since we’re off topic.)

While I do my best to stretch out my commute 34 miles to get to work in silver spring from silver spring by 8am, a bit much. I’ll keep it on my radar should the opportunity arise. Sounds like a good time. I’d be better off riding an all nighter and ending with some pancakes. Wait I just gave myself an idea…

Maybe Eric should state in advance that if you ride with him, there’s a good chance that at what you think is the end of a nice long ride, you’ll find yourself 3-states away, with no real way to get home other than riding back through 4 more states.

Through the magic of my BikeArlington blinkie light, I am currently able to travel through three “states” (including D.C.) in under a minute. Because I’m so talented. (Or because I chose the best spot for this.)

That’s why I put “state” in quotation marks. For bike travel purposes, I’m treating it like a state. It also makes the sentence simpler: three states, instead of two states and a unique, constitutionally-created, jurisdiction (which doesn’t even appear to be named correctly). [People call it Washington or Washington, D.C., but according to the secretary of the District of Columbia, there is no current official reference to a city of Washington in D.C. any longer. Just D.C.]

Four real states in one minute is no problem. Just don’t run over the Native Americans selling their wares.
