Trail on west side of Pentagon closed? 14 June

The trail along Route 27, on the west side of the Pentagon appears to be closed. At 2:50 a.m., this morning, there was police tape (“Police Line Do Not Cross”) tied across the trail. On the southern side, it’s at a spot near the northwest corner of the Pentagon. About a hundred feet north, another strip is tied across the trail.

There does not appear to be any reason for it. There are no signs, no warning, no police. It was not there at 3:30 p.m., yesterday afternoon.

I’m guessing someone will simply ride through it this morning, taking it down, but I thought I’d mention it.

I’m guessing this is a result of the suspicious package that was found last night http://www.arlnow.com/2011/06/13/breaking-news-police-investigating-suspicious-package-near-pentagon/ and no one removed the tape from the trail.
