In September of every year Arlington County fields a team of volunteers to take a snapshot of bicycle and pedestrian transportation activity in the County. The observations we make complement data collected by a network of 24/7 automatic equipment. But volunteers in the field can see things the equipment cannot, such as the gender of trail users, and the proportion of cyclists wearing helmets. Volunteers get to observe cycling and walking as they have never seen them before!!
We invite you to join us on Thursday, September 13th, from 7-9 am, and / or from 4-6 pm; and / or on Saturday, September 15th, from 12-2 pm. To sign up, or for more information, you can email County Planner David Patton at: dpatton@arlingtonva.us
