TR Island Parking Lot Pending Work?

Yesterday, a covered sign faced trail users just after they reach the north end of the TR parking lot coming from Rosslyn via the switchback overpass over GWMP. The sign is not yet exposed, but it appears that it will say “Walk Bike”.

Whatever it is (my money is on parking lot resurfacing) it looks like we are in for a mulch detour.

Which no one ever does so I don’t know why the construction types plan something that involves a walk bike sign. Waiting for someone to reply with “lawyers.”

Looks like they are ready for the mulch spreading. The entry onto the detour off of the Rosslyn ramp (not pictured) looks a little narrow. Of course if we are all walking our bikes, we should be OK…
