ParticipantHi, welcome to the forum! It’s nice to see we will have a new ride to look forward to next year.
Just a head’s up that the ridewithgps link does not work. It goes to the site okay but there is no route. Please double check it!
Thanks.

Here’s the correct link. A few of the letters in the word “events” in the URL were replaced with dots. I’ve had this happen when I posted a link before.
Also, I think it’s hilarious that this ride is being sponsored by a manufacturer of chainsaws.

I would really appreciate any thoughts on routes that can be both safe and enjoyable. Thanks.
Just making sure that I understand correctly, so I can offer some helpful feedback.
You’re doing a week worth of riding?
Are the routes you posted drafts and you’re looking for tweaks to avoid traffic and maximize niceness? Or are you looking for some completely new ideas?
Are the participants local to DC or are they coming from other places?
It looks like you want routes in the 80-100 range? What’s the reason for wishing to avoid trail riding? I ask this because one the thoughts that comes to mind are some trail routes that are in the middle of urban forests which would tie really nicely into the Tree Fund’s mission.

Thanks for fixing the link. It is a little ironic that Stihl is the title sponsor as first thought. I myself run a tree company and they have been a great partner in preserving the urban forest.

Yes – a week of riding
The routes are drafts and we’re open to tweaks or even entirely new routes.
The participants will be coming from all across the US and Canada.
We like to get a few century routes in and the rest can vary between 75-100.We don’t mind some trail riding but due to the size of the group it can get a little hectic for the locals that use the trails regularly. Thanks.
