The end of Daylight Savings Time approaches! Rather than mourn the hour lost, celebrate with us by reminding folks to bring their lights and giving lights to those who need them.

On Monday, 11/2, we’ll be set up at the Bikeometer in Rosslyn (https://goo.gl/maps/u53NE), near the intersection of Lynn St, Lee Highway and the Custis. We’ll be there from 4:30pm until 6:30pm or so. With excellent volunteer support, we’ve done a great job covering multiple parts of this intersection in the past.
The bonus here is that you can head up to Courthouse and check out the Arlington Bicycle Advisory Committee afterwards!

On Wednesday, 11/4 we’ll head to the intersection of Columbia Pike and the W&OD Trail (https://goo.gl/maps/KsYq8). We’ll start on the north side of the intersection, passing out reflective goodies and lights, and if we get enough folks, spread to other side, too.

Forum folks always make the event really great, so hope you’re able to make it! Come to one or both for as long as you like! Leave a comment below if you’re able to stop by so we know how many people to expect.

It was fun, and the rain didn’t come until I was on my way home afterwards. It was nice seeing everyone including Cyndi and Casey!

It was loads of fun! Hopefully I can make the Shirlington event on the 19th, also. :)

I gave out all of the lights I grabbed on the way home, most to cyclists at the 4MR/Shirlington Road intersection.

Me too – jogging strollers and more than a few unlit bikes. Everyone was super appreciative.

I love this practice of keeping the giveaway light pairs on our handlebars. It’s so much more efficient than carrying them in my knapsack, as I used to do. Tonight’s recipient was a ninja bicycle rider off Columbia Pike. The gentleman looked as if he had just won a million bucks…he couldn’t believe his good luck. I showed him how to operate them. He made my day.
    Thanks, Bike Arlington!
