FYI–I just put in a big order of the BikeArlington giveaway lights we’ve had the past two years. Like previous years, after the time change we’ll have a couple trail events to get people outfitted with lights. We’ll need lots of volunteers again!!
If I’m not traveling, I’ll be volunteering. However, after a few recent later rides, I’m not sure we can wait until the time change, way too many unlighted/non-relective trail users out there!
Wonder when Alexandria will have their lighting events?

It comes with enough hilarious stuff to stick to two wheels and a frame. Although I don’t see why I couldn’t use two kits on one bike. I’m going to be so obnoxious this winter. As if that were a change.

ParticipantI’ve gotta get a proper light soooooon! The stupid Blackburn Flea now has to be taped to the charger at an angle in order to charge, and since you have to take the strap off to charge it, the Velcro part of the strap is about to come off which will render the thing totally useless. Grr.

ParticipantRe-hashing an old thread due to a great experience I recently had with Knog lights. A year ago I purchased a Knog Blinder 4V pulse rear light. I really love this light. It is VERY bright, has many blinking choices, charges by simply plugging into an available USB port, charge lasts forever, and it doesn’t require an additional mount so it can easily be transferred between bikes. My only concern for some users is that it only mounts to your seat post, so if you do not have much seat post showing or you have a large seat bag it might not work well for you. For me, it works great on all my bikes.
SO, a few weeks back I noticed that the rubber clasp was ripping, and not long after the clasp broke completely rendering the whole unit pretty useless (I zip tied it on to my post temporarily). A quick email to customer support with a picture of the culprit and before I knew it a brand new one arrived in the mail… no other questions asked. The new clasp looks a little beefier and some additional instructions are provided to help explain the best way to attach the light. All in all a pretty cool experience.
Gotta say it… I love a company that stands behind it’s product… well done to those Aussies for designing a great light and a company with integrity!

ParticipantI had the exact some thing happen to my Blinder 4V. Returned to it recently to the dealer and got a new one very quickly. Starting to question the durability of the rubber stuff though.

I have the same light and haven’t noticed any problems, but it’s great to hear that they stand behind their product. I do love the light and am thinking about purchasing the new Blinder Road headlight for my not-quite-pitch-black needs. Knog stuff is expensive but the design is excellent.
