Tim Johnson’s Ride On Washington: Please support my ride!

Hey folks. It is that time of year again. I’m taking part in Tim Johnson’s Ride on Washington again in 2012. Basically a small group of us are riding a circuitous route from Boston to DC in mid-March to help kick off the National Bike Summit. The ride raises awareness and funds for the group Bikes Belong. Bikes Belong is an amazing advocacy group that works for better infrastructure for and awareness of cycling. They are the ones that have brought about things like the People For Bikes Pledge, as well as community grants that improve the world for cyclists.

This group does great things. I’m a cycling advocate that works best by letting my legs do the talking. That’s why I’m riding. Every donation counts. Please take a moment to read and help out with a donation.

This day is really cool because of the diversity of terrain. We rode on dirt trails, country roads, under the EL in NYC, through the Bronx, Central Park and into Time Square on St. Patrick’s Day.
